As a collective, the state and federal government are working together to contain the spread of COVID-19, with the virus now becoming community spread it is up to everyone to make sure that the correct precautions are being taken.
To make sure that COVID-19 cases stay to a minimum it’s important to make sure that general hygiene and cleanliness is being maintained at all times.

During this time it is more important than ever to make sure that you are keeping your hands clean and free of germs. To do this it’s important to regularly wash your hands when eating, using the bathroom, after using a computer and touching any surface that isn’t sanitised/ wiped down regularly.
Don’t Touch Your Face
It’s important to make sure that you are actively trying not to touch your face as you could have easily touched something with germs that could make you sick and by touching your face you are infecting your self to stop this wash your hands regularly and try not to touch your face.
Keeping your area clean
Make sure that your area is being sanitised regularly and kept clean this can help prevent any spread of the virus and allows for a more ergonomic workspace. To keep your area clean use anti-bacterial cleaning products and wipe down all surfaces including computer screens, keyboards and any other equipment that may be kept on your desk/ workspace.
Coughing/ Sneezing into your arm.
When coughing or sneezing it is important that you do so by making sure that you cough or sneeze into your arm this helps stop the spread by keeping it contained to an area that doesn’t touch other places that could infect others. For example, coughing into your hand and then touching a something. This would then spread the virus further if someone else was then to touch the same thing you just had.
Avoid Handshakes or Hugs
As Australians, we often greet each other with handshakes, hugs or fist bumps although it’s best to try and keep this to a minimum to reduce the risk of germ being spread. Doing this will reduce your risks of getting sick as well as others around you.
