Fremantle’s iconic Mojo’s Bar is facing permanent closure following government lockdowns amid the COVID19 coronavirus.
Mojo’s called on patrons and the music community to support them via a Go Fund Me fundraiser with the goal of raising $60,000 in order to cover existing costs and keep their doors open.
The popular live-music venue released a statement on social media yesterday calling for community financial assistance in the wake of the social restrictions placed on indoor venues due to the COVID19 outbreak.
Mojo’s management also revealed the venue could not afford to re-open even when the restrictions are eventually lifted, due to previously heavily investing in the venue’s sound proofing.
Donors who contribute $75 or more will be thanked with an exclusive

Since the 1970’s, Mojo’s has been known for it’s diverse lineup of acts, recently hosting the likes of Tame Impala, Stella Donnelly, The Stems, The Oh Sees and countless other international, national, and local acts since first opening its doors.
The iconic venue has been a staple for live music and social acceptance for nearly 50 years, to see it close would be a massive blow to the Perth live music scene.
