Second wave of COVID19 from Wuhan epicentre

There are fears of a second outbreak of COVID19 with five new cases from the Wuhan province epicentre recorded yesterday.

As the province reported no cases for the month, the five new cases come with fears that a second wave of the virus may be on its way. 

Following zero deaths reported in China in over a month, authorities lifted restrictions in late March, with schools in the city resuming last week.

Rock and Roll pioneer Little Richard dead at 87

Rock and Roll pioneer Little Richard has died after a battle with bone cancer. Little Richard was known for inspiring some of the biggest artists in the world, with songs like Tutti Frutti, Lucille, and Long Tall Sally.

Born Richard Wayne Penniman in Macon, Georgia in 1932, Richard sold over more than 30 million records worldwide, influencing artists like The Beatles, David Bowie, Elton John, Prince and Neil Young.

Paul Mcartney reportedly asked Little Richard for singing lessons to get his iconic ‘whoooo’ sound.

Richard was also known for his work alongside Elvis Presley, who labeled Richard ‘The Architect of Rock and Roll’.

It’s believed Richard died in in his sleep at his brother’s home in Tullahoma, Tennessee.

Indian cricketer pushes for Big Bash permission

Indian cricketer, Suresh Raina has urged The Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) to allow his country’s cricketers permission to play in the Australian T20 Big Bash competition for future seasons.

Currently, Indian players are not permitted to be contracted to other cricket leagues out side of the Indian Premier League (IPL)

The news comes as rumours surround doubts of the cancellation of the T20 World Cup in Australia due to start in October.

The IPL have suggested starting their season early if the World Cup tournament is doesn’t go ahead.
