ACT records first COVID19 death

Australian Capital Territory has recorded its first COVID-19 death, as the national death toll rises to 19.

The woman in her 80 died in hospital as she caught the virus while travelling overseas.

The woman’s death comes after Prime Minister, Scott Morrison announced new rules allowing only two people in outdoor public areas, the new restrictions were announced yesterday after much of the Australian public failed to adhere to social distancing guidelines over the weekend with photos of people gathering in numbers at beaches and enjoying outside social activities.

Geraldton man to face charges after failing to self-isolate

A 73-year-old Geraldton man has been charged with failure to isolate after returning from a flight from New Zealand last week. It was alleged that he had been seen walking in public and riding his bike to the local shopping centre.

The elderly man was charged with one count of  failure to comply with a direction and will appear in the Geraldton Magistrates Court on April the 16th.

Fashion icon set to release Covid19 mask

Fashion designer Ralph Lauren is set to release his own range of face masks. The 80-year old designer announced he is set to make 250,000 Ralph Lauren face masks and isolation gowns in America. Selling at an auction for charity for funds to help people affected by COVID-19.

Worsfold: I did my best with Ben

Former West Coast coach John Worsfold said he did everything he could to help Ben Cousins during his time as coach of the Eagles.

Worsfold met with Cousins recently in the Channel 7 documentary ‘’Ben Cousins coming clean, which aired last night.

“I did my absolute best to hold him accountable to the values that we wanted to live at West Coast,” Worsfold said. 

Cousins said he was remorseful and regretted how he impacted and damaged the reputation of the club.
