Whatsapp to slow the spread of ‘fake news’
Facebook owned messaging service, Whatsapp has implemented restrictions on its users forwarding shared content after unprecedented medical advice was shared around the app relating to COVID19.
A spokesman stated that the ‘new limit will be placed indefinitely’ as a way to help stop the spread of fake news.
Whatsapp currently has around two billion users worldwide.
Restrictions to continue over Easter weekend
Leading Health experts around Australia are warning people to stay at home for the upcoming Easter long weekend as they emphasise the importance of keeping up with the Self Isolation restrictions.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison has backed the sentiment urging Australians not to ‘undo’ steps that have been taken to reduce the spread of the coronavirus.
“This Easter weekend will be incredibly important. Stay at home,” Mr Morrison said.
“Failure to do so this weekend will completely undo everything we have achieved so far together, and potentially worse.” he said.

The top tennis players worldwide are swapping racquets for controllers after the Madrid Open was cancelled due to COVID19.
A virtual tennis competition will be staged in order to raise funds for professional athletes in order to help them with the lockdown period.
