COVID19 Deaths rise to 21
Australia’s coronavirus death toll has risen to 21 as another person passed away in NSW today after contracting the deadly COVID19.
The person was admitted to Orange Base Hospital, west of Sydney where they later died.
Its been revealed there are more than 2000 people who have tested positive for the virus at the Orange Base Hospital, as NSW continues to be Australia’s worst-hit COVID19 state.
The death toll in NSW now reached 10 overall, almost half of Australia’s total fatalities from the virus
Currently in NSW, 42 remain in intensive care, while 275 have no known source of transmission.
Artania ignored orders: Border Force
The German cruise ship Artania ignored orders to leave the Fremantle Port, according to an Australian Border Force (ABF) spokesman.
The german cruise ship carrying passengers infected with the Coronavirus has refused the order to leave despite still having 12 passengers still on board.
While the majority of those on board have been flown home, there are still 500 crew on board, in which Premier Mark McGowan holds concerns about their health.
“We’ve got a responsibility to those passengers to ensure the West Australian health system gives them the available attention to ensure that they don’t – if I could put this bluntly – die on the voyage home because they’ve not received proper attention,” The ABF spokesman told 6PR radio.
Despite the Australian Border Force confirming the Artania ignored orders to leave, Federal Attorney-General Christian Porter told 6PR they weren’t required to leave immediately.
Fremantle Ports confirmed the schedule time for departure at midday on Friday.
Margot Robbie set for new role
Australia’s own Margot Robbie is apparently set to play Joe Exotic in the upcoming Tiger King mini-series based on the Netflix documentary of the same name.
Kate McKinnon is already signed to play Carole Baskin, the host of the podcast Joe Exotic: Tiger King with producer Robert Moor saying he wants Margot Robbie to play the big cat wrangler.
The series is being produced by studio UCP, with SNL star McKinnon to star and executive produce.
The Good News: Matt Lucus Potato song to raise funds for charity
British Comedian, Matt Lucas is set to release an updated version of his “Baked Potato Song”, newly titled “Thank You Baked Potato”, with all funds raised going to his charity, FeedNHS.
The ‘Little Britain’ co-creator’s new song came with an important reminder of the Governments guidelines about how to protect yourself as well as others from the Coronavirus.
The track was released on Lucas’ Twitter last week and has already received excess of 3 million views, captioned with the post “ A VERY important message”
