Urgent airbag recall for WA Motorists

The Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI) has urged hundreds of drivers to take their cars off of the road, due to the discovery of a potentially lethal brand of airbags.

Its believed over 600 cars still on the roads are fitted with faulty Takata brand airbags, despite years of warnings.

In a crash situation the inflation component of the Takata airbags are prone to shattering, shooting metal shrapnel into the cabin of the car.

The FCAI have described the brand of airbags as “The worst of the worst” with motorists who persist to drive vehicles with the faulty air bags at risk having their vehicles deregistered.

Deceased cat tests positive for COVID19

SPAIN: A cat belonging to a Catalonian family has tested positive for COVID-19 following an autopsy.

It was discovered however, the cat did not die from the virus but from a pre-existing respiratory issue.

It is thought that the cat may have picked it up from its owners, who all had contracted the virus. The cat is the sixth of its species to contract COVID19.

Although it is thought that this strand of coronavirus originated in animals, experts say it is incredibly unlikely that household pets are incredibibly unlikely to contract the virus.
