BOM: Weather to clear by Friday
22,000 WA homes lost power today after the storms that contained 130km/h winds.
The emergency services were overloaded with more than 400 calls for help in the last 24 hours, almost equalling the total of calls for the entire year of 2019.
Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) Duty Forecaster, Stephen McInerney said that a weak cold front today will bring about showers this afternoon, peaking in the evening.
“By the afternoon on Friday conditions will probably start clearing,” he said.
Met Ball cancelled
One of the biggest fashion events, The Met Gala Ball, has been cancelled due to coronavirus.

‘Influencer’s bizarre reaction to lost subscribers
Social media ‘influencer’ by the name of Billie Beever cries after the loss of OnlyFans subscribers during Coronavirus pandemic.
The Gold Coast Tik Tok/Instagram influencer had been affected by widespread job losses of others after many subscribers needed to revoke their membership.
“I’m an essential worker to…. It’s a tough time for everyone right now…… even sex workers” she posted in the post.
The video was soon removed after having received abusive comments.
