Masterchef and The Voice were left behind as Big Brother stole the number one entertainment show in Australia last night.
With 1.9 million viewers across the nations, it was the number one launch for channel 7 since 2018. Furthermore, it became the number one trending topic on Twitter, with almost 7000 tweets during the program launch.
The show brought in number one spots as the biggest livestreamed entertainment show on Broadcast Video on Demand to date as well as number one show across all demographics.
Melbourne viewers were the most anxious for the reboot with an average audience of 282,000 viewers.
Nationally, last night’s eviction was viewed by 1.3 million people, with the arrival of housemates being viewed by 1.2 million.
Big Brother hasn’t been on Australian TV screens for 6 years, after being introduced for the first time in 2001, and now that its back, its come back with a new style which sees that a housemate is evicted each episode, with Laura Coriakula leaving after 3 days .
