5 Tips to Getting more Likes and Views on Tik Tok

Whether you love or hate it, there is no denying that Tik Tok has been the most popular social media platform of 2020. The platform was originally released in 2014 under the name Musical.ly but it mostly consisted of lip syncing and dancing and had less creative content than Tik Tok does. In 2017 Chinese company Byte-Dance bought out Muscial.ly and merged it with Tik Tok. Proposing the platform to a larger worldwide audience.
In a world where high profile YouTubers are now making millions of dollars off a technically free social media platform it won’t be long before this is the reality for Tik Tok. Some people may find the idea of making a living off being ‘’Tik Tok famous’’ ridicules but it wasn’t that long ago that YouTube was only known for cat videos and a baby biting his brothers finger.
So here are some tips to get more likes and views on your Tik Tok profile:
- Regular Posting- this is the obvious one, the more you post the more your videos will appear in someone else for you page feed.
- Post Original Content- Be creative and try to think out of the box, I know it’s easier than done, but if you think of original and creative content, you can overnight become’’ viral’’
- Get onto Trending Songs and Dances while they are still Hot- This also goes without saying however if you can get onto a trending song or dance at the right time it can work to your favor.
- Use Hashtags- Hashtags on Tik Tok work just like other social media sites it will show up on the feed and if you share similar interest. One hashtag you should always use if you’re looking for more views is ‘’#foryoupage or #fyp’’
- Interact with others- just like another social media platforms you need to be prepared to interact with others, this can be done through Duets or just simply by liking and following other accounts.
