Celebrity chefs Matt Moran and Neil Perry are encouraging a platform where future diners can buy pre-paid vouchers for when in-house dining resumes to ensure a cash injection for struggling businesses.
Perth Smoke haze warning issued
The state government’s Parks and Wildlife service have issued a smoke alert in Perth’s Metro areas stretching from Yanchep to Rockingham, including the Perth hills.
The smoke is due to prescribed burns with the department predicting to clear by tomorrow morning.
The good news: Secret Harbour man wins $1.8 million
A Secret Harbour man has won 1.8 million dollars after scoring the winning ticket in Saturday night’s Lotto Superdraw.
It is said that the winner if the cash prize has never won anything more than beer.
“I saw how much was on offer, so I decided to buy a ticket,” The winner said, having bought his ticket from The Lucky Charm newsagency in Secret Harbour.
“I got in trouble with my wife when I told her I bought one, but she has taken that back now,” he joked.
“The only other prize we have ever won was a six-pack of beer.”
