‘Stop passing the buck’: Joondalup Mayor
Peet Developments is in hot water as the City of Joondalup Mayor Albert Jacob states they need to stop passing the buck when it comes to fulfilling its responsibilities of the Burns Beach to Mindarie coastal path.
The City of Joondalup completed its middle section of 2.3km of path but is unable to be used due to Peet and Tamala Park Regional Council have still yet to complete their requirements.
Tamala Park Regional Council now making progress on the northern link, it seems like Peet is still remaining silent. Mr Jacob had stated that the council had been in development discussions for five or six years with the development firm.
“All stakeholders, including Peet have long been aware of their respective responsibilities in bringing this project to fruition,” he said.
Once finalised, path users will have a continuous route along the coast from Quinns Rocks to Fremantle.
New hygiene measures for hospitality industry
WA’s hospitality sector is expected to take new hygiene measures following the coronavirus crisis.
Hospitality staff in WA will be required to complete a compulsory COVID-19 hygiene training course in the event of bars, restaurants and cafes to be reopening.
All staff will need a minimum requirement of the first stage of the two-tier course whilst the managers and supervisors will be required to complete the second and more advanced program.
Premier Mark McGowan stated that he expects that approximately 70,000 hospitality workers to complete the free course, which is being funded by the WA government.
“This is to provide confidence to venues and to customers when the time comes to re-open, so we all know the very safest of environments is in place,” he said.

Reporter gets caught with his pants down
A reporter has been caught with no pants in a working from home embarrassment.
US reporter Will Reeve was business from the top up in a nice collared shirt and blazer, with what appears to be some very short shorts visible from below the waist.
Apparently Reeve’s fashion mistake was caused by an unknown shift in the camera’s orientation which resulted in the appearance of a “unique” fashion choice, and as soon as he noticed the commotion, he rushed to Twitter to explain.
“Trying to be efficient, I got ready for a post-GMA workout a little too soon this morning. The camera angle, along with friends, family and several hundred strangers on social media made me rethink my morning routine.”
