Many Concerts and Live events have been affected due to COVID-19, Private gigs have been cancelled, nightclubs closed and festivals postponed to a later date or even abandoned.
However, many musicians have still found a way to perform music for their fans through the use of ‘’Instagram Live’’. Some of the biggest names in music at the moment have gone live to their Instagram pages to give their fans exclusive and intimate performances from the comfort of their home. Quavo, James Blake, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Skepta, Justin Bieber, Swae Lee, Rex Orange Country, Imagine Dragons and Vance Joy are some of the names to take to their phones to give their fans something to watch while at home.
Even here in Australia some of our best up and coming artist have been involved in Isol-Aid! – an online music festival, continuing for the third weekend in a row today. This weekend features names like John Butler, Hockey Dad, Meg Mac and Western Australia’s own San Cisco.

Many top-tier English Premier League (soccer) clubs have been going live with their star players, giving fans an opportunity to ask questions and get an insight on what their beloved players are up to in their time of self-isolation. This week Instagram sporting profile, 433 went live with Dortmund wonderkid Erling Harland giving fans an intimate insight into the lifestyle of one of the most talked-about players in soccer at the moment.
