With COVID-19 rapidly spreading, people are preparing to bunker down at home, there’s been panic buying groceries, office equipment and more recently, gym equipment. But what are some things that you can learn if you get stuck at home for two weeks?
Learn/ Practice an Instrument
Do you have an Instrument in your home that you used to play when you were younger or one that was brought but never learned? Well, why not dust it off and start now! With plenty of youtube videos and other resources online you’ll be a pro in no time.
Learn a new language
Have you ever wanted to learn another language? Japanese? Mandarin? Swedish? Or ever French to impress that person you have had your eye on? With all this free time, you can! Clear those vocals and take to the internet or books (if you have any) and start off with the basics, there are plenty of online platforms that can help you learn how to speak, read and write in a new language!
Practice your art skills
With two weeks at home, you could pull out those paintbrushes or that pen and start creating something new that you are proud of! Whether you draw all the time or not very often there is always something to create with art! It could be a sculpture, a painting, a drawing or even food art (the only time you can ever play with your food)! There will always be a new thing to create and keep you busy with.
Workout
Have you been putting off that beach body you have always wanted? Well, why not start on it now! There are lots of different exercises you can do at home and videos to help online. All you need to workout is yourself! With Yoga, Dancing and more there will always be something to keep you entertained, healthy and stop you from bouncing off the walls.
Create a new game
Did you ever want to make your own game when you were a kid? Well, why not create a game that can cater to you. Whether you’re stuck at home by yourself or with your family. With many apps online you can create your own app or for the less savvy people you could always create a new card game. Let your imagination run wild and make something fun! Who knows it could be the next big game.
Blog, Write and Read
Have you got a collection of unread books at home? A notebook full of creative ideas? Why not, start now! Start reading that book that keeps holding your curiosity, Start writing that book that has just been ideas in a notebook or that blog that you have wanted to start but haven’t! You are never going to know what will happen unless you start working on it.
Create videos
Ever dreamed of being a Youtuber, Director or Actor? Why not start making your own home videos and learning all the work that goes into creating a video. If you like them enough it could even be your first posted video! All you need is something to record on, yourself and an idea that you can make work.
Make your own podcast
Do you love to listen to podcasts or radio? Well, why not come up with an idea for your own podcast? It could be anything from a specific topic like sports to crazy ideas that you have had that you just want to share. As long as you are enjoying yourself so will whoever is listening!
